"I am looking forward to seeing our team get out and compete at Rice," Texas A&M head coach Laura "Bird" Kuhn said. "We need to earn points and play consistent throughout each set. Staying urgent and keeping a sharp focus on clean defensive releases will be the key to our success. Maintaining offensive balance and serving aggressively will keep the pressure on Rice."

The Aggies, who went 17-13 last year, have 12 returning letterwinners and a transfer on the roster, as well as one freshmen who graduated high school early and enrolled at Texas A&M for the spring semester.

Following the trip to Houston, A&M will host a pair of spring matches, including a showdown against Texas on Family Weekend, April 12 at 7 p.m. A&M concludes the spring segment against Baylor on April 17 at 6:30 p.m.
