2019 SEC Baseball Tournament Bracket Opens in a new window
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 19 Texas A&M Aggies enter the 2019 SEC Baseball Tournament (May 21-26) in Hoover, Alabama as the No. 6 seed, drawing No. 11-seed Florida as their first round opponent. The Aggies are looking for their second SEC Tournament title to go along with their 2016 crown.

Texas A&M and Florida play in the first game slated for Tuesday's action at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. The contest is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. It marks the second consecutive season the Aggies open play in the breakfast game.

Tuesday's action is an elimination round with the winners advancing to a double-elimination portion that begins Wednesday. The winner of the Texas A&M-Florida contest faces No. 3-seed Georgia in Wednesday's first game.

The Aggies and Gators did not meet during the 2019 regular-season. They have met twice at the SEC Tournament with Texas A&M prevailing both times. In 2013, the Maroon & White earned a first-round victory over Florida, 6-3, behind a complete-game effort by Daniel Mengden and four RBI from Hunter Melton. The teams faced off in the 2016 championship game with the Aggies notching a 12-5 victory behind a five-RBI day from J.B. Moss and three-RBI effort by Nick Banks, to take the title.

Texas A&M has made it to the SEC Tournament in all seven of its seasons in the league. Last season, the Aggies were the No. 11 seed. In 2017, the Maroon & White earned the No. 7 seed. Texas A&M entered the SEC Tournament as the No. 3 seed in both 2015 and 2016. The Aggies were seeded No. 9 in 2013 and No. 10 in 2014.

The Aggies are 2-2 in SEC Tournament first round games. The first time in the game, Ol' Sarge's charges bet Florida 6-3 in 2013. In 2014, Texas A&M lost a 4-0 decision against Arkansas. In 2017, the Maroon & White suffered a 12-7 loss at the hands of Missouri. Last year, Kaylor Chafin outdueled Vanderbilt's Tyler Brown in a 3-1 win.

All the games will be televised nationally. The championship game will air on ESPN2 at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 26. All other games air on SEC Network.
