NAPOLI, Italy – Former Texas A&M swimmer Claire Rasmus earned her second gold medal of the meet with Team USA's 4 x 200-meter freestyle relay at the 2019 World University Games.

"It was a solid swim for Claire," said Texas A&M head women's swimming coach Steve Bultman. "We were hoping for a better second 100, but another gold medal for her and Team USA!"

Rasmus teamed with Kaersten Meitz, Paige Madden and Gabrielle De Loof to touch in at 7:53.90, nearly six seconds in front of second place Italy and just missing the World University Games record by .02. The New Orleans native was third in the relay and swam a 1:58.81. Previously, Rasmus won a gold medal in the women's 4 x 100-meter freestyle relay on the opening day of the 2019 World University Games.
