LIMA, Peru – Former Texas A&M All-American Tori Vidales and the Mexican National Team opened play at the Pan Am Games Sunday with a 9-0 loss to the United States.

Vidales started at first base and went 1-for-1 with a single in the first inning before drawing a walk in the fourth.
Mexico returns to action Monday at 4 p.m. CT as they square off against Peru.

A NFCA All-American in 2016 and 2018, Vidales finished her career as the school's record holder in runs (198), RBI (219) and total bases (480). She ranks second all-time in Texas A&M history in home runs (65), third in walks (164) and slugging percentage (.694) and sixth in batting average (.355) and putouts (1200).
