COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Equestrian team invites students at Texas A&M with equestrian experience to try out for the 2019-20 roster.

Candidates should submit all paperwork to Kimmy Saul (ksaul@athletics.tamu.edu) by Friday, September 13 at 5 p.m. CT. Interested students must have advanced riding experiences in one of the four events and must send a video to the discipline-specific coach.

Tryouts will be scheduled individually and there will not be an informational meeting.
Â
Students must be enrolled in at least 12 hours at Texas A&M with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. Those wishing to try out must be cleared on eligibility issues by compliance and medical staff.

Per NCAA rules, a sickle cell test result must be provided and all candidates must obtain and provide copies of their health insurance, front and back copies of the card.

- Deadline to submit all paperwork to ksaul@athletics.tamu.edu: Friday, September 13th at 5:00 PM
- Must have advanced riding experience in 1 of the 4 events & send a video to discipline specific coach
- Tryouts will be scheduled individually, there will not be an informational meeting
- You must currently be enrolled in at least 12 hours of class at Texas A&M, College Station (Full-Time Students).
- Your cumulative or highschool GPA must be at least a 3.0 and meet the percentage for degree requirement established by the NCAA.
- Must be cleared on eligibility issues, by compliance, and by medical staff.
- If you don't make the team this time, you can try out again at a later walk-on tryout date.
- All prospective walk-on candidates must have a physical within the past six months
- Per NCAA rules, you MUST provide us with a Sickle Cell Test result. Results can take up to a week of lab processing time. You can obtain one at a medical facility of your choice or at Student Health Services. You will NOT be allowed to try-out without providing results of this test.
- All candidates must obtain and provide copies of their health insurance, front and back copies of card. Insurance will be verified prior to tryouts.
- Spots are not guaranteed.
