Win Streaks On the Line
 
Both teams enter the contest with impressive win streaks on the line. The Aggies have won five straight games following last week's 41-7 victory over Texas State. The Tigers earned their 16th consecutive win with a victory over Georgia Tech last week. Clemson was a perfect 15-0 on their way to the National Championship in 2018.

Last Meeting
 
In one of the top college football games of the 2018 season, Clemson held on for a 28-26 victory over A&M in front of 104,794 fans on September 8, 2018. Trailing 28-13 entering the fourth quarter, the Aggies scored a pair of touchdowns in the final frame and cut the lead to two with 46 second left in the contest. The 2-point conversion attempt was intercepted to secure the victory for the Tigers.

Jimbo Fisher & Dabo Swinney are two of five current head coaches to win a National Championship.

Jimbo Fisher is in year two at Texas A&M after leading the Aggies to a 9-4 record in 2018 and a 52-13 Gator Bowl win over North Carolina State. Fisher has a career record of 93-27. He won a National Championship at Florida State back in 2013. 

Dabo Swinney has amassed a career coaching record of 117-30 at the helm of the Clemson program. Swinney is a 2-time recipient of the Bear Bryant National Coach of the Year award. Swinney led Clemson to National Championships in 2016 and 2018.  

   

Scouting the Tigers
 
Clemson is ranked No. 1 in the AP and USA Today polls. The Tigers cruised to a 52-14 win over Georgia Tech in week one behind 205 rushing yards and three touchdowns by Travis Etienne.
 
Clemson is the only team in the country returning a 3,000-yard passer, 1,500-yard rusher and 1,000-yard receiver. The offensive line is another strength for the Tigers with seniors at four of five starting spots.
 
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw for 3,280 yards in 2018. Top rusher Etienne rushed for nearly 1,700 yards last year. Receivers Justyn Ross and Tee Higgins also return for the Tigers after impressive seasons for the Tigers in the 2018 National Championship run.
