SHANGHAI, China – Texas A&M freshman golfer Jimmy Lee carded the low round of the day as he climbed into a tie for second place at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship on Friday at the Sheshan International Golf Club.

Lee, who was born in Korea but hails from Mission, Texas, finished with a bogey-free 5-under par 67 in the second round and goes into tomorrow's final round at 9-under and just a shot off the leader. Lee posted three birdies on the front nine and then added two more on the back, including on the 18th hole.

The winner of the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship earns an exemption into the
2020 Masters Tournament, which is played annually the first week of April in Augusta, Ga.
