COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Strong finishes by the Texas A&M men's golf team in its first two tournaments of the 2019-20 season have pushed the Aggies to No. 11 in the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll and to No. 12 in the Golfweek Team Collegiate Rankings.

The Aggies were ranked No. 14 in the preseason coaches poll on Aug. 23, but moved up after a pair of top five finishes at the University of Minnesota's Gopher Invitational and the University of Illinois' OFCC Fighting Illini Invitational. The Aggies placed second at the Gopher Invitational and tied for fifth at the Fighting Illini Invitational.

Individually, the Aggies have logged multiple top 10 tournament finishes so far this fall. Senior Brandon Smith logged his first collegiate win at the Pioneer Creek Collegiate, senior Dan Erickson (2nd) and redshirt freshman William Paysse (t6th) were both top 10 at the Gopher Invitational, and senior Josh Gliege tied for ninth at the Fighting Illini Invitational. Additionally, freshman Jimmy Lee tied for eighth at the Asia-Pacific Amateur.
