Texas A&M’s Lee Climbs Leaderboard at Patriot All-America

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Texas A&M freshman Jimmy Lee climbed the leaderboard after firing an even-par 70 in second round action at the Patriot All-America Invitational at The Wigwam Golf Club.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Texas A&M freshman Jimmy Lee climbed the leaderboard after firing an even-par 70 in second round action at the Patriot All-America Invitational at The Wigwam Golf Club.
 
Lee, from Mission, Texas, delivered four birdies and 10 pars as he moved into a tie for 24th (1-over). Lee goes into Tuesday's third and final round six shots behind the leaders – Noah Norton of Georgia Tech, David Perkins of Illinois State and Mason Anderson of Arizona State (5-under).
 
In other action involving Aggies, senior Dan Erickson shot a 1-over 71 and stands in a tie for 31st, sophomore Sam Bennett carded a 3-over 73 (t54th) and senior Brandon Smith also posted a 3-over 73 (t76th).
 
Honoring the Armed Forces
The Patriot All-America was founded in 2011 and annually features the best of the best in collegiate golf from every NCAA division plus special invitees. Throughout the 54-hole championship, each participant honors a fallen or severely injured soldier by carrying a bag bearing the name of that individual.
