
Aggies Finish Eighth at General Hackler Championship

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The Texas A&M men's golf team finished eighth at the General Hackler Championship, played at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club (par72/7,233yards). The Aggies shot 10-over 874 (294-286-294) to remain in the same position through the final round on Tuesday morning.
Freshman Sam Bennett made a big jump in the third round to lead the Aggies as he finished tied for 22nd, shooting 1-over. Junior Dan Erickson and senior Chandler Phillips finished tied for 36th and 41st as they shot 4- and 5-over, respectively.
A&M will be back in action on Sunday, March 17 as the team travels to Stuart, Florida for the Valspar Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Houston. The invitational will run through Tuesday, March 19.
