WHAT THEY SAID
Head Coach Jo Evans
On today's offense…
"I thought we had a lot of poor at bats. We are continuing to get beat on strikes that we're not looking to drive and then we're chasing pitches out of the zone. She (Shelbi Sunseri) did a good job of throwing that ball down, and we just kept biting on it. We did a poor job of making any kind of adjustment at the plate. It's nice to not strikeout, but I would rather have some strikeouts where we're on time and looking for a pitch to hit. I thought offensively, we just really played right into her hand and she pitched a good game."
Senior 3B Riley Sartain
On preparing for tomorrow's game…
"It's one of those things you have to grind out. Of course nobody likes to lose. Losing is not fun. We have to keep battling and keep pushing to fight our way through. We have to learn from each failure, and take each failure not as something that is going to knock us down but as something that will build us up stronger."
