Dixon Named to Pre-NCAA Indoor Bowerman Watch List

NEW ORLEANS – Texas A&M's Devin Dixon is one of 10 athletes selected to the men's pre-NCAA Indoor Bowerman watch list, announced by USTFCCCA.
 
Dixon, one of four selections from the SEC is joined by Johannes Erm (Georgia), JuVaughn Harrison (LSU) and Darryl Sullivan (Tennessee). Other selections include Trey Cunningham (Florida State), Tyler Day (Northern Arizona), Gleb Dudarev (Kansas), KC Lightfoot (Baylor), Chris Nilsen (South Dakota) and Jordan Scott (Virginia).
 
The middle distance specialist has posted season best times of 47.91 in the 400m and 1:47.88 in the 800m, while contributing as the anchor in the 4x400m with a world leading time of 3:02.77.
 
Recently Dixon claimed the 2020 SEC 800m Indoor title with a time of 1:49.63, his sixth consecutive SEC 800m title when including outdoors. He also clocked 1:15.16 in the 600m, the fourth fastest on the NCAA all-time list.

Others receiving votes include Bryce Deadmon (Texas A&M), Clayton Brown (Florida), Raymond Ekevwo (Florida) Quincy Hall (South Carolina), Oliver Hoare (Wisconsin), Edwin Kurgat (Iowa State), Carey McLeod (Tennessee), Yared Nuguse (Notre Dame), Jacory Patterson (Virginia Tech), Randolph Ross (North Carolina A&T), Trevor Stewart (North Carolina A&T) and James West (Oregon).  

Dixon, along with 12 other Aggies will travel to Albuquerque, N.M., to compete in the 2020 NCAA Indoor Championships on March 13-14.d
