Men's Golf

Three Questions with J.T. Higgins

What are your thoughts on the men's golf team's 2019-20 season ending the way it did?

What are your thoughts on the men's golf team's 2019-20 season ending the way it did?
"We are truly disappointed that our season ended so abruptly. We believe we have a squad capable of winning the SEC and NCAA Championship, and it's tough to lose that opportunity before ever teeing it up. With that said, we realize there are far more important and urgent matters facing our community, the State of Texas and our country.  Considering all the turmoil and difficulties, we are actually fortunate to be part of Texas A&M and the SEC where we have amazing support and leadership. Commissioner (Greg) Sankey and Ross (Bjork) have been out front, open and accessible throughout the crisis. We will get through this together and hopefully things will be back to normal soon."

What are you doing with your time?
"I'm not being very productive but my hands have never been cleaner, and I'm caught up on most of my chores. I have been watching lots of TV:  Homeland, The Morning Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm and a bunch of sports movies, and of course the news (just a glutton for punishment). I also play Out of the Park baseball on my computer, quite possibly the greatest game ever made."

What are you missing the most?
"I really miss seeing everyone. From our team - to everyone at work - to my friends, I miss everything about our day-to-day lives. It's easy to take it all for granted until it's taken away. I'm looking forward to be able to give everyone a big hug again."
