Howdy.
First, thanks to the incredible 12th Man for doing the right thing when it comes to winning against the toughest opponent of my lifetime, the Corona Virus. We all have our reasons, people who motivate us to join together in things like social distancing, washing your hands, simple things like not touching your face, cleaning surfaces and staying at home. People with compromised immune systems are especially at risk, and it doesn't matter at what age.
So the question is, who will motivate you to take the steps in doing your part?
There are Aggies throughout this great nation and around the world who are working on this issue every day. Take a moment to thank all healthcare workers, doctors, nurses and all first responders who are dealing with this situation every day.
Aggies like to be together. We lock arms and sway. Not hardly any social distancing around here...until now. We have to. And if we do the right thing, we'll join the rest of the country and the world in making sure our student-athletes are back on the field and court, wherever they compete.
Right now we have to stick together, just not all in the same place. Six feet apart, wherever you are.
I've said it before, there's something special about this place. And I'll tell you this. If we are in the middle of the battle of our lifetime, there's nobody I'd rather go into battle with than the Aggies of Texas A&M.
Do the right thing, stay at home, take care of each other, and let's beat the hell out of COVID-19.
Gig 'em.
