#StrongerAsOne was the Texas A&M Softball team's hashtag for the 2020 season. Read below to find out what it meant to each player.
#1 Taudrea Sinnie
"To me, stronger as one means being a supportive teammate and pushing one another to be the best that we can be. I can't wait to see what next season has in store for this program!"
#2 Blake-Ann Fritsch
"We are strong alone, but are stronger together when we play as one!"
#3 Meagan Smith
"Stronger as one means competing together as a team."
#5 Payton McBride
"Stronger as one means that we are all one team. We are not individuals who want to do what is best for themselves. It's for the better of the team. This team was one of my favorites, because we all wanted to better each other and we all wanted to win for each other, instead of just ourselves."
#6 Kayla Poynter
"Stronger as one means that everyone has the same end goal and everyone is working together to achieve the goal."
#7 Kelbi Fortenberry
"Stronger as one has probably been my favorite team slogan I've had since beginning at Texas A&M. It describes our team perfectly. We told ourselves we are only as strong as our weakest link, so it helped us realize it is going to take every single one of us to be the best in the SEC and the best in the country. We are stronger if everyone is bought in every day, and I think we proved it on the field this year. I can't imagine a better team to go to war with."
#8 Sydney Fritsch
"Stronger as one means we are one team with one goal and we encourage each other to be stronger in order to reach that goal!"
#9 Kyndall Murray
"Stronger as one was a constant reminder to me why I play softball. I play for all the girls playing alongside me wearing Texas A&M across their chest. We win together, we lose together, we fight together."
#10 Shaylee Ackerman
"To me, #StrongerAsOne means that we are all working hard individually to push each other to become better as a whole. We all have been working extremely hard as individuals and as a whole team to shock everybody. I can't wait for next season because people aren't going to be ready for Aggie softball!"
#11 Ashley Daugherty
"Stronger as one has been more than just a hashtag for us this season. It's been a motto that we truly took to heart, and applied in our everyday lives. This year's team has been one of the closest teams I've ever been a part of. I whole heartedly believe that we are a team of 25 best friends. We love each other on and off the field, and would go to battle for one another any day."
#12 Madi Jatzlau
"#StrongerAsOne to me means playing for something much bigger than myself. It means playing for the team, being an encourager, bringing the energy every day, and supporting the team through the highs and fighting together through the lows."
#13 Kendall Potts
"Stronger as one for us this season has meant through thick and thin we stay together and play for each other. When one of us falls, we pick her up and the team up and we fight harder for each other. It's everyone unselfishly playing their part whether you're a starter, a courtesy runner, or you're in the dugout cheering for your team. Every role is important. Individuals don't win/lose games, teams do."
#14 Hannah Mayo
"#StrongerAsOne is a reminder of your purpose on a team. Some days you need to be picked up and other days it's your job to do the picking up. Through it all, you have to be a good teammate. 'If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.' I've never been fast anyway…"
#15 Hailey Gallegos
"Stronger as one meant to me that our team could only be at our best if we worked together! And a huge part of that was to push each and every one of us, because as a whole we would only be as strong as our 'weakest link'. We didn't get to showcase that as much as we would have liked to this season, but the games that we did get to play, I think everyone could see how genuinely happy we were for each player's successes and how much work we put in during the off-season. I can't wait to be back with my girls for the next season."
#16 Gabby Moreno
"This season we developed as a team. We saw progress that was visible to the outside world, as well as behind the scenes progress, both of which depended on everyone as a complete unit. With all gears connected, not one was left unturned. When you play and practice for the ones standing to your left and right, the result is a team that is #StrongerAsOne."
#17 Kayla Garcia
"Through the good times, we've been able to work together and pick each other up no matter the situation. In the bad times, we have been able to come together as a unit, especially with our season being cut short we have still been able to come together as one and support each other."
#18 Amaya Montano
"Stronger as one means so much to the 2020 Aggie softball team, because it shows that when we come together as a whole, we are able to achieve anything that we put our mind to."
#19 Star Ferguson
"#StrongerAsOne for me means that there isn't one weak link on that field when we're together. We play for each other and for the team that we all worked hard to build and through the bonds that we've made, we are able to play as one."
#20 Ashlynn Walls
"Stronger as one means playing as a family and having the chance to play alongside your best friends and all work towards the same goal together."
#21 Kelly Martinez
"Stronger as one to me means we can be strong individually, but as a whole we are unstoppable. If you are having an off day, you know someone will be there to pick you up and push you. If you need help with something, you can call anyone and they will be there for you. You're not only part of a team, you are part of a family that will do anything for you."
#22 Dani Elder
"Stronger as one means that we become one person when we step on to the field. We lose together and we win together! We play as hard as we can for one another, to be able to have this opportunity while it lasts. We make every moment count. Playing the game of softball means everything to all of us. Stronger as one means playing for the person to your left and right."
#23 Morgan Smith
"This season, stronger as one has meant to me that we are at our best when we are operating like a well oiled machine. Every person is doing their job as one unit. Without one piece, the machine doesn't work correctly and when separated as individual pieces, nothing gets accomplished. Essentially, teamwork makes the dream work."
#24 Makinzy Herzog
"Stronger as one means no one can play this sport alone. Everyone on this team has their own role and when we put all of those roles together, no one can stop us."
#25 Haley Lee
"Stronger as one this season was something me and the team lived by. It means that we would always stand together and always build each other up. No matter the outcome of the game, we grew as a team. There was no single person that could win the game by themselves."
#26 Jourdyn Campbell
"Stronger as one means that we all play as one for our goal. We all work together not only as a team, but as a family and we work to make everyone in our family better."
