What is your current situation? Where are you and what are you doing?
"I moved back to Colorado, my home state, about a year ago with my husband and two dogs. I am currently a Clinical Sales Rep for Stryker working in medical device sales."

How did you get into the current field you are in?

"After working as a nurse for about four years, I decided I wanted a change. I wanted to continue to be involved in healthcare, but I also wanted a career that was exciting, challenging and could curb my competitive nature (I am an athlete, after all!). Medical device sales has been a perfect fit for me because I still get to use my clinical experience on a daily basis, as I'm in the OR and get to work with doctors and nurses every day. I also still get to positively impact patients through the products I support and by helping improve clinical outcomes in their surgeries."

After graduating from Texas A&M, what was your first job?
"My first job after graduating was as an ICU nurse in Austin. I worked there for about three and a half years and then worked as a travel nurse for a stint."

What are some things going on in your side of the world that the public may not have considered during this pandemic?
"I think we are all going through similar struggles right now. We just need to stay positive and remain hopeful. Things will get better and we will get through this. Tough times don't last, tough people do."

How did your career at Texas A&M as a student-athlete, playing for Coach G and the Stephensons prepare you for life?
"My athletic career at Texas A&M helped prepare me for life as a nurse, because it taught me teamwork, discipline, time management skills, grit (nursing is not an easy job!), and having a selfless attitude. Outside of soccer, Coach G, Phil and Lori always believed in giving back to the community and helping those in need. I think I carried that with me into the career I have today.

What is your favorite memory from you soccer playing days?
"It's hard to pick just one! All the championships and titles we won are definitely up there, but I'd have to say one of my sweetest memories is scoring the golden goal my freshman year against the Colorado Buffaloes. We played in Boulder with all my family and friends there. It was an extremely intense game. They were going to win the Big XII title if they won that game and I ended up scoring a header goal in OT to win it! It just made it so much sweeter that we were in my home state and I got to share that moment with so many loved ones."
