2020 Texas A&M Football Position Breakdown: Offensive Line

With fans counting down to the 2020 Texas A&M Football season, we continue our series to breakdown each position group for the highly anticipated season. Under the direction of offensive line coach Josh Henson, the most experienced position group on the A&M roster looks to continue to pave the way for head coach Jimbo Fisher’s offense.

Returning Starters: Carson Green, Kenyon Green, Jared Hocker, Dan Moore Jr.

Lettermen Returning: Riley Anderson, Bart Clement, Luke Matthews, Ryan McCollum, Grayson Reed, Layden Robinson, Blake Trainor

Redshirt: Colton Blanton, Galen Gallagher, Collin Garrett, Tank Jenkins, Braedon Kobza, Kyle Ohlen, Thomas Spann

Newcomers: Josh Bankhead, Smart Chibuzo, Jordan Jefferson, Chris Morris, Aki Ogunbiyi

The A&M offensive line returns 52 of 65 possible starts up front including the trio of Carson Green, Dan Moore, Jr. and Jared Hocker that have each started over 20 games in the Maroon & White. Kenyon Green wasted no time after arriving on campus to lock down a starting spot as a true freshman in the 2019 season.

Ryan McCollum leads a talents group of lettermen looking to fill the starting center position for departing senior Colton Prater. In addition to McCollum, Aggies returners that have seen action include Riley Anderson, Barton Clement, Galen Gallagher, Luke Matthews, Grayson Reed, Layden Robinson, Thomas Spann and Blake Trainor.

The Aggies signed a five highly regarded offensive lineman prospects including the trio of Chris Morris, Josh Bankhead and Jordan Jefferson that enrolled in classes in January. Morris was heralded as the best prospect from the state of Arkansas and the fifth-best guard in the country. Aki Ogunbiyi was rated as a top-10 guard talent and a top-50 player in the state of Texas.Â
