BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 17 Texas A&M women's swimming & diving team started its season off strong with a dominating 150-107 win over the Rice Owls. The Aggies placed first in 12 out of the 14 swimming events.
Freshman Chloe Stepanek dominated in her first meet wearing the Maroon & White. The Northport, New York native earned three individual first-place finishes in the 200 Free, 50 Free, 500 Free and aided her team with a win in the 200 Medley Relay.
The Aggies completed a 1-2-3-4 finish in the 400 IM with a dominating performance led by senior Jing Wen Quah, who touched the wall first for the Maroon & White. Quah also notched three individual wins and earned a B-cut time in two of the events she competed in Friday evening.
Senior Kara Eisenmann added multiple top finishes for the Aggies, earning a pair of first-place finishes in the 100 and 200 Back.
Freshmen Charlotte Longbottom and Emme Nelson, along with senior Camryn Toney rounded out the top finishers for A&M.
