Why did you choose to come to Texas A&M?

My mom said I could only go to a school inside the state of Texas, as soon as I visited A&M I knew that was exactly where I wanted to go. It's in the SEC and if you want to play big-time football, this is the best school in Texas to do it. It's the best fan base and the school has great education programs.

How would you describe yourself as a leader?

I'm not the loudest, I'm not a fan of just yelling and that kind of leadership. In my mind, I'm just going to do the right thing, be where I'm supposed to be at the time I need to be there. Actions speak louder than words, people will notice and follow along.

How would you describe Coach Henson?

Coach Henson is a great coach. He's a very personable guy and wants to be, not just a good coach, but also a good person to have in your life. He really does care about his players and that is a big thing. Football is a business and once people realize when you get to the college level that it is a business, they are here because they want you to do well because it makes them look good. He does a good job of keeping it business-like, but also tries to be personable with you.

What was your favorite sports team growing up?

I'm honestly not a big sports watcher, I don't want that many professional sports. I like college sports more than professional. But if I had to pick any team it would be the Dallas Cowboys because I'm from the Fort Worth area.

What do you like to do away from football?

I love being outdoors, hunting and fishing. I love the lake and just want to be out on the boat all day long.

Who is the hardest person to go against on our defensive line?

I think it's just the entire unit itself, it's tough to pick just one. The defensive line is a force. When everyone is rushing at the same time, it's different from a one-on-one. When everyone is going at the same time you're blocking around each other having to bump and twist off, that's pretty tough and our defense does a pretty good job at twists and everything.
