What made you want to come to Texas A&M?
I came to Texas A&M because of the family atmosphere and the Spirit of Aggieland. Looking at life after football and being connected in the Aggie Network was something I valued. Also,[with it] being down the road from Houston and being close to my family, it allows them to come watch me play football, which was another big factor.

Who have you learned the most from since being here?
I've probably learned the most from the group of guys that I hang around with the most, Kellen Mond and Keldrick Carper. I've learned a lot from those guys by just being around them. For us three to all come in as early enrollees, we were like 17 years old, and just taking on college life together. I've also learned a lot from all the coaches by just being out here.

How would you describe yourself as a leader?
I just keep the guys going and keep everybody at full speed. Just being there with my experience and my mentorship. We have a lot of young guys and they all have questions about life, football and college, just being their go-to guy for that.

What were your emotions on your first game day back after missing the 2019 season?
There was a lot going through my mind and it was a long time coming. I was excited to just be back out on Kyle Field in front of the 12th Man. Having that experience again was mind blowing, and to see where I came from is a testimony to always work hard and reminds me that better days are ahead.

How would you describe Coach Craig?
Coach Craig is a funny guy, but first and foremost he is a great coach. He takes his job very seriously and loves us as a group. Every individual in our group has a great relationship with Coach Craig. He cares for us as if we were one of his kids, we can always go to him for anything we need. He's played quarterback for Jimbo and he's coached for Jimbo, so he gives us a different aspect that has allowed us to learn about different concepts and knowing where the quarterback is reading and about the many different coverages. He's a great role model.

Who would you say is the hardest person on our defense to go against?
Myles Jones, he's long, fast and physical. He's also a student of the game, so definitely Myles. I like my young guys also, Jaylon Jones. He's a great cornerback, he's strong and wants to learn about the game of football and different things like that, I think he's going to be really great for us.

What was your favorite team or athlete growing up?
I'm a big Dallas Cowboys fan and my family are all Cowboys fans. We're kind of going through a rough stretch right now, though. That was my first love and my first team, I was a big Reggie Bush fun and Vince Young when they were in college.

What do you like to do away from football?
I've always had a love for fashion and passion for it. I like to sew, that was something I picked up during quarantine, and I've always wanted to make my own clothes and wear my own things. Putting my creativity into a piece of clothing has always been an aspiration of mine outside of football. I also listen to music, do yoga and just hang out with my friends.
