Played in 30 games as a rookie, drawing five starts and averaging 15.6 minutes per contest … contributed 4.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while compiling 22 assists, nine steals and two blocked shots … shot 43.3 percent (45-for-104) from the floor with a 31.7 percent mark from 3-point range (13-for-41) … made first career start during the season-opening Armed Forces Classic win over No. 11 West Virginia (11/10) at Ramstein Air Base in Germany … played 20 minutes vs. the Mountaineers while added seven points, three rebounds and an assist but suffered a broken orbital bone during the game causing him to miss the Aggies’ next five contests … returned to action vs. UTRGV (11/30), playing nine minutes, scored four points... registered first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds against Northern Kentucky (12/19) … drew his second career start and fell just short of a second straight double-double against Buffalo (12/21), finishing with a season-high 21 points to go along with nine rebounds … named SEC Freshman of the Week honors on Dec. 26 after averaging 16.5 points, 9.5 rebounds during the wins over Northern Kentucky and Buffalo.

Enjoyed a standout career for head coach John Oliverio at Alvin High School ... one of the country’s elite all-around performers as a senior, scored at a 31.3 point-per-game clip during the 2016-17 season to earn Class 6A All-State honors from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches ... also averaged 11.1 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocks per contest during his final prep campaign ... was one of only three Houston-area players to tally over 1,000 points in a season ... scored over 2,400 points during his high school career ... as a junior, averaged just under a double-double at 17.7 points and 9.9 rebounds per outing to earn first-team All-District 22-6A accolades ... a prolific scorer throughout his high school career, averaged 17.9 points per game as a sophomore and 14.1 points as a freshman in 2013-14 ... a member of ESPN's elite Top 100 list, Flagg was regarded as a consensus four-star prospect that was rated as the fourth best prospect in the state of Texas by ESPN ... in AAU competition, Flagg played with the Houston Defenders.
