Texas A&M's Fall 2020 Commencement featured 47 student-athletes from 10 varsity programs among its more than 5,000 December graduates.

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M University's Fall 2020 Commencement featured 47 student-athletes from 10 varsity programs among its more than 5,000 December graduates.

"I am so proud of our Texas A&M student-athletes for their perseverance and determination in dealing with unprecedented challenges during this past year and focusing on completing their goal of graduation," Director of Athletics Ross Bjork said. "They have set the bar high with their excellence in the classrooms, as well as on the fields of play, and contributing to a great community with selfless service. These graduates have also challenged our younger student-athletes to get better each and every day.  Congratulations to all graduates and welcome to the world as a former student!"

Among the 47 student-athletes were nine who received their master's degrees: equestrian's Adele McKenna; football's Landry Estes, Riley Garner, Colton Prater and Braden White; women's swimming and diving's Haley Allen; men's tennis's James Martell; and women's track & field's Valarie Bradley and Emily Gunderson.

Also of note among the list of graduates was former Texas A&M men's tennis standout Austin Krajicek, who returned to earn his degree in psychology nearly a decade after completing his athletics eligility in 2011. A two-time Big 12 Player of the Year and the program's first-ever NCAA Champion, Krajicek is in his eighth year on the ATP Tour and has won over 40 professional titles.
