BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Texas A&M freshman Athing Mu has been named the Southeastern Conference Women's Co-Runner of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Mu claimed two first place victories at the Aggie Invitational. The Trenton, New Jersey, native claimed her first event title breaking a 40-year-old collegiate record in the 600m at a time of 1:25.80.

She claimed her second event title running as a member of the 4x400m that clocked 3:32.39, Mu ran a second leg 400m split of 50.94. The relay time is ranked second in the SEC and NCAA.

Individually, Mu leads the SEC and NCAA in the 800m with a season best time of 2:01.07. Her season best times in the 600m and 800m are world-leading marks.
