Former Texas A&M men's basketball standout Khris Middleton and the Milwaukee Bucks won the 2021 NBA Championship on Tuesday night, defeating the Phoenix Suns in six games.

Middleton was dominant throughout the entire NBA Playoffs. A 2011 All-Big 12 performer, Middleton averaged 23.6 points per game while adding 7.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists.

In game four of the NBA Finals, Middleton went off for 40 points in the Bucks' 109-103 victory. Prior to game five of the Finals, Middleton had made 15 field goals to tie or take the lead in the fourth quarter or overtime, which tied him with LeBron James for most all-time in a single playoff run in the past 25 years.

Additionally, Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday became the first trio of teammates to each record 25 points on 50 percent shooting in a game since 1985.

Middleton accomplished all of this in the NBA Playoffs while also taking seven hours of classes during the Summer I semester at Texas A&M.

Middleton becomes the second-consecutive Aggie to win a NBA Championship after Alex Caruso and the Los Angeles Lakers won the 2020 title.
