BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M baseball team will hold walk-on tryouts in September for students looking to compete for a spot on the Aggie roster.

Any students with plans to try out must attend a mandatory meeting at Blue Bell Park on Tuesday, September 7 a 5 p.m. The tryouts are scheduled for Tuesday, September 14 at 5 p.m.

Only full-time students enrolled in 12 hours are eligible for the tryouts. In order to participate, students need to have proof of a sports physical that has been completed in the past six months as well as results from a sickle cell blood test. Both tests can be performed at the University Health Center or by a family doctor.

All candidates must obtain and provide copies of their health insurance, front and back copies of card, at the mandatory meeting. Insurance will be verified prior to tryouts.

The September 7 meeting will be conducted in the Blue Bell Park first-level seating behind home plate. All players interested in trying out must be in attendance at the mandatory meeting – no exceptions.
