Aggies Defeat Lynchburg in Jumping Seat Meet, 8-2

MARTIN, Tenn. – The No. 4 Texas A&M equestrian team secured a victory over Lynchburg in a single discipline meet, 8-2, Saturday morning at the McWherter Agricultural Pavilion.
The Aggies (5-1, 2-0 SEC) continued their winning streak after getting the best of the Hornets (3-5, 3-2 ECAC) in both Fences and Flat competition. The Aggies earned all five possible points in Fences.
On Friday night, the Maroon & White started off strong winning Flat, 3-2. Caroline Dance won the first point for the Aggies after scoring an 89 on Douglas, earning Most Outstanding Performer for the second consecutive meet. Nicole Leonard recorded a score of 83, defeating Maddy Carpenter, 83-57. Maggie Nealon got the third point for the Aggies after scoring a 75 on Dubay.
Competition continued Saturday morning with Fences. The Maroon & White finished the meet sweeping the Hornets. Kaitlyn Lovingfoss highlighted the event earning MOP honors after defeating Jacqui Needle, 85-60. Other notable wins included Brooke Brombach (82), Grace Boston (62), and Haley Redifer (76).
Devon Thomas scored an 83 on Dante, defeating Fallyn Belcastro, 83-72. It marked Thomas' fifth win in a row this season.
Texas A&M returns to Aggieland to take on No. 2 Auburn on Nov. 18 at 1 pm at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.
