Bratanov Paces Aggies on Day One of Art Adamson Invite

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M men's swimming team began competition at the Art Adamson Invitational Wednesday night at the Rec Center Natatorium. The Aggies currently sit in second with 282 points, while USC leads the event with 294 points through day one.
To kick off finals, Kaloyan Bratanov, Ethan Gogulski, Seth Reno and Clayton Bobo posted a second-place finish with a time of 1:18.66 in the 200 free relay.
Bratanov claimed a first-place finish in the 200 IM, clocking a B-cut time and personal best of 1:43.46. Also in the event, Munzy Kabbara was atop the B-final with a career-best time of 1:45.82.
Mark Schnippenkoetter added a top-8 finish with a B-cut time of 4:21.98 in the 500 free.
In the 50 free A-final, Gogulski recorded a personal-best time of 20.02.
The 400 medley relay team of Gogulski, Andres Puente, Jace Brown and Bratanov closed out day one with a time of 3:09.12 to finish second.
The Aggies return tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. for prelims and 5:30 p.m for finals for day two of the Art Adamson Invitational.
