Aggies Remain in Second Through Day Two of Art Adamson Invite

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M men's swimming team notched 10 B-cut times on day two of the Art Adamson Invitational Thursday night at the Rec Center Natatorium. The Aggies currently sit in second with 663 points, while USC leads the event with 717 points through day two.
The 200 medley relay team of Ethan Gogulski, Andres Puente, Jace Brown and Kaloyan Bratanov began finals of day two in second with a time of 1:25.40.
Top-seeded Anze Fers Erzen was neck-and-neck, slightly trialing teammate Munzy Kabbara for much of the race, but came out on top in the 400 IM final, clocking a personal best and B-cut time of 3:44.58. Kabbara (3:45.16), Puente (3:45.63) and Vincent Ribeiro (3:46.44 PR) all notched B-cut times as they helped the Aggies sweep the top four spots of the 400 IM.
Bratanov added a second-place finish in the 200 free with a B-cut time of 1:34.64.
In the 100 back, Gogulski claimed first, recording a personal best and B-cut time of 46.14. Tyler Hulet followed in third with a NCAA qualifying time of 47.62.
Bratanov, Luke Stuart, Mark Schnippenkoetter and Clayton Bobo made up the second-place 800 free relay team that clocked a time of 6:25.63 to end day two.
The Aggies return tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. for prelims. The 1,650 free will follow at 2:30 p.m., with finals starting at 5:30 p.m. for day three of the Art Adamson Invitational.
