Wilson, Mathews Sweep SEC Diver of the Week Awards

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Seniors Aimee Wilson and Kurtis Mathews were named Southeastern Conference Women's and Men's Divers of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Against TCU, Wilson set the standard on the springboards, scoring 363.08 on the 3-meter and 328.28 on the 1-meter. She posted top finishes on both boards for the second time this season. The Calgary, Alberta native captured the award for the eighth time in her career and third in the Maroon & White.
On the men's side, Mathews made his 2021 debut against TCU and tallied two first-place finishes. The Sydney, Australia native scored a 431.93 on the 3-meter, followed by a 435.00 on the 1-meter. The 3-time SEC Champion dominated the 1-meter field, outdoing the second-place opponent by 88.12 points. The award marks the second time in his career that he has received the honors.
The Aggie diving team returns to action on Thursday, Nov. 18 as they travel to Austin for the Texas Diving Invitational. The swimming teams will return to the pool Nov. 17 to host the Art Adamson Invitational.
