Texas A&M sophomore defensive back Antonio Johnson was named to Pro Football Focus' (PFF) All-America  First Team.
Johnson (East St. Louis, Ill.) appeared in all 12 games, ranking second on the team with 79 tackles and posting a team-best 53 solo stops. He was fourth on the team with 8.5 tackles for loss while also recording an interception and a forced fumble.
"Covering the slot is difficult," PFF wrote about Johnson. "Defensive backs have to be smart and quick while also profiling as a physical tackler who is ready to defend extra space when covering the inside. And no one has been better at doing so this year than Antonio Johnson. [He] ranks top three in the Power Five in both slot passing stops (14) and yards per slot coverage snap (0.58)."
Johnson and the Aggies will close the year against Wake Forest in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl on New Year's Eve in Jacksonville.
