BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M volleyball head coach Laura "Bird" Kuhn announced the addition of Evan Antal to her coaching staff on Wednesday.

In this new role within the Aggie volleyball program, Antal will focus on opposition scouting, statistical and video analysis of A&M and its opponents and all day-to-day activities of the program.

"We're excited to welcome Evan into our Aggie volleyball family," Kuhn said. "His expertise in analyzing data will directly correlate to individual and team performance. Evan's background in coaching and desire to do whatever it takes for the team's success makes him a great fit."

Antal comes to Aggieland after a four-year stint as an assistant coach at Toledo. With the Rockets, Antal oversaw the team's passing, floor defense, attacking systems and decision making. Additionally, he also organized and operated all summer camps and clinics, as well as coordinated all team travel for Toledo volleyball.

"I would like to thank Bird, Kolby and Wendel for the opportunity to be the first technical coordinator for the Texas A&M volleyball program," Antal said. "I am looking forward to bringing this program to the forefront of advanced volleyball statistical analysis, and more importantly, compete to be one of the best volleyball programs in the SEC."

Antal began his career at Bowling Green, where he served as the director of volleyball operations for the Falcons, while coaching club volleyball at Premier Volleyball Academy. While at Bowling Green, Antal was tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of the volleyball program, including video and statistical analysis, team travel, organizing youth camps and serving as the team's liaison to all areas of the athletics department.

Antal graduated from Toledo in June 2015 with a degree in exercise science and a minor in business administration. He married his wife, Anna, in December 2018.
