MADISON, Wis. -- Texas A&M's Alyssa Clairmont, Allen Bottego and Tony Stewart earned spots to compete on the platform at NCAA Championships as the Aggies concluded competition at NCAA Zone D Diving Championships at the Soderholm Family Aquatic Center.
Clairmont claimed the top spot on the women's side to start the final day of competition. Her overall score of 611.50 put her atop the field as she will also compete on both springboards in her NCAA Championships debut.
Bottego and Stewart will also be heading to their first NCAA Championships. Bottego was the top scorer on the men's side with a score of 742.10, while Stewart took seventh with a score of 331.80. Rhett Hensley was also in action on the men's side and after advancing to the final he finished in 10th with a score of 288.50.
In total, the Aggies will have seven divers competing at NCAA Championships through the next two weeks. Both the men's and women's NCAA Championships meets will be hosted at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta with the women's meet running Wednesday, March 16 through Saturday, March 19, and the the men's meet going Wednesday, March 23 through Saturday, March 26.
