AZUSA, Calif.– Eight members of the Texas A&M men's and women's track & field team competed at the Mt. SAC Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational, late Thursday night.
Junior Eric Casarez highlighted the Bryan Clay Invitational finishing sixth in the men's section three 5000m at 13:54.82. His time marked a personal best and ranks No. 3 on Texas A&M's all-time performer list.
Graduate student Annie Fuller led the Aggies in the women's 5000m finishing 19th in her heat clocking 16:41.03. Junior Abbey Santoro followed at 16:52.74, while freshman Maddie Livingston registered a time of 17:07.38.
Sophomore Jonathan Chung headlined the night at the Mt. SAC Relays, running 9:00.64 in the 3000m Steeplechase. The time moved him to No. 11 on the Texas A&M all-time performer list. Senior Brady Grant followed with a time of 9:06.39.
On the women's side, Senior Julia Black led the Aggies with her time of 10:32.57 in the 3000m steeplechase, three seconds off of her personal best set in the season opener. Freshman Gemma Goddard followed clocking 10:58.30.
The distance crew returns to the Bryan Clay Invitational Friday night for the men's and women's 1500m, while the rest of the men's and women's teams begin the Tom Jones Memorial on Friday at 1 p.m. CT in Gainesville, Fla.
