Howdy!Â
I hope you are having a great start to your summer and, if you have not already, will get some time away to recharge before the new academic and athletic year starts up in August. This summer has already been busy in Aggieland as our 2021-22 athletics season did not conclude until last week.Â
I want to start out by congratulating Coach Schlossnagle and our entire baseball team and staff on a phenomenal run at the Men's College World Series! This was one of the best seasons in program history as the Aggies concluded with a 44-20 record and a trip to the semifinal round of the College World Series, the furthest we have ever advanced and the first time we have won multiple games in Omaha. Coach Schlossnagle has quickly established himself as an Aggie and shown his leadership and ability to win at the highest level, and I cannot wait to see the lasting impact he will have on this program. Â
June 23, 2022 marked the 50th Anniversary of Title IX, the legislation that established equity in athletics across the higher education landscape and increased the access to women's athletics on a national and collegiate level. Over the next year, we will honor and celebrate this milestone, highlighting the success and impact this legislation has had on women's athletics. You will see this through a "Title IX game" for each program, a social media campaign telling the stories of the pioneers and legends of women's athletics at Texas A&M, and a multitude of collectibles and activities that honor the legacy of Title IX. More information on Texas A&M's Title IX celebration can be found at 12thMan.com/titleix.Â
This past year has been one filled with many memories, highlights and accomplishments. It is our mission to create opportunities through championship athletics and I cannot express enough thanks to the staff members who have dedicated their career to helping our student-athletes do just that. Check out some of the highlights of this year below and we'll see you in August!Â
Thanks for your support and Gig 'em,Â
Ross
