12th Man Productions Wins SVG/NACDA Award

12th Man Productions was honored with an Outstanding Live Game Production Award by the Sports Video Group.

ATLANTA – Texas A&M's 12th Man Productions was honored with an Outstanding Live Game Production Award for its coverage of the Aggie baseball team's 6-5 win over Ole Miss in 2021 at the 2022 SVG College Sports Media Awards in association with NACDA.

The game, which was televised nationally on ESPNU, was highlighted by a two-home run day by first-team All-American Will Frizzell as the Aggies clinched the series victory over Ole Miss after rallying from a three-run deficit in the seventh inning.

"Our broadcast team of Justin Argo, Elissa Killebrew and Tyler Honeycutt and our student production staff hit it out of the park with this broadcast, and we are thankful to our peers for recognition of 12th Man Productions work as best-in-class," said Associate Athletics Director Andy Richardson.

In addition to Outstanding Live Game Production-Network Supported Award, 12th Man Productions also produced a trio of SVG award finalists:
  • Outstanding Program Series -- Rooted: Texas A&M Men's Basketball (Caleb Griffin, Producer/Editor)
  • Outstanding In-Venue Video – The Corner (Chris Bieschke, Producer/Editor)
  • Outstanding In-Venue Video – The Corner: Opening Day (Chris Bieschke, Producer/Editor)
"We are equally proud of our post-production staff for their work to receive national finalist recognition," Richardson added. "Special thanks to Caleb Griffin, and his digital series 'Rooted,' chronicling the Aggie Men's Basketball team's season-long journey as well as Chris Bieschke, who produced 'The Corner' videos, seen at each home baseball game at Blue Bell Park this season. 12th Man Productions staff all share in this recognition as our team focuses on showcasing Aggie sports to the nation."
