Notes & Quotes:

Aside from Friday's match being the conference opener and annual Turn It Gold night, Guerrieri looked forward to the experience of hosting another great crowd at Ellis Field and kicking off a big weekend in Aggieland.

“Friday night, the night before a home football game is usually a really fun night at Ellis Field because it kind of starts the weekend off, rolls from us through Midnight Yell into the football game..."

After a tough non-conference schedule, Coach was asked about how those tests have prepared his group.

"The games we've played, you know, on the road at Clemson, at Ohio State, at Illinois, TCU was a top ten team at home, now another team that's going to be an NCAA tournament team in South Alabama, I think that we've seen a variety of styles. We've seen a variety of levels of athleticism and focus."

To conclude, Coach G discussed some dynamics of changes in the sport of college soccer and highlighted the strength of the teams in the SEC.

“…we're excited about it. I think that for us to be able to get a little bit more preparation when you know a really, really good Georgia team is coming in is just what the doctor ordered."
