Notes & Quotes:

As the team begins a three week stretch of Thursday-Sunday match turnarounds, G talked about the elevated level of competition among the programs in the SEC.

“…all these games are going to be so tight because the the league has gotten to be so competitive in past years. There was a clear separation between the top and the bottom, the bottom has risen significantly. The top is has remained at a very high level..."

To preview the matchup with Mississippi State, Guerrieri described what his team will be expecting to prepare for.

"Mississippi State defends, they're a very good defensive team, very, very physical. Last year was a good example of the way that they defend…last year they did a great job of keeping possession of the ball probably better than we did for for many parts of the game."

To emphasize an earlier point about the level of play in the league, G discussed what his team will carry forward to Sunday's match in Tuscaloosa.

“…we also have to have an eye beyond that on what Alabama does, because they're both very different teams. So that's one of the challenges of playing in this league and playing two games a week is that you get chocolate on one day and you get vanilla on the other day and you got to be able to prepare for both of them."

When asked about his team's ability to constantly create opportunities to score in a match, Coach Guerrieri complimented their efforts and resiliency.

“…I think you have to look at the character of our our of our Texas A&M student-athletes. I mean, they they went down. They never they never gave up. They kept fighting. They kept coming back and coming back.”
