Texas A&M Drops Double-Dual Meet Against Texas, Indiana

AUSTIN, Texas – Despite its best effort, the No. 22 Texas A&M women's swimming & diving team fell to No. 3 Texas (89-209) and No. 13 Indiana (100-200) Friday afternoon inside the Jamail Texas Swim Center.
The Aggies started the day off with a top-five time in the 200 medley relay as Aviv Barzelay, Bobbi Kennett, Olivia Theall and Chloe Stepanek swam a 1:42.15.
Stepanek tallied three top-five finishes in the 200 free (1:48.29), 50 free (23.13) and 100 free (50.29). Four Aggies, including Stepanek, clocked times in the top-10 of the 50 free including Manita Sathianchokwisan, JoAnn Adler and Hadley Beeson.
Abby Grottle led the distance events, being the first Aggie to finish in the 1000 and 500 free, clocking in at 9:56.22 and 4:53.81, respectively.
Additional top-five finishes came from Charlotte Longbottom finishing fifth in the 100 breast and Mollie Wright collecting fourth place in the 200 fly (2:01.32) to go along with l Theall's 100 fly time of 53.75 and Joelle Reddin logging 2:15.98 in the 200 breast.
Theall also grabbed a second-place finish for the Aggies in the 200 fly with a time of 1:58.80.
Texas A&M closed out the meet with a third-place finish in the 400 free relay with Kennett, Theall, Adler and Sathianchokwisan recording a time of 3:26.01.
Alyssa Clairmont claimed a pair of third-place scores on the 1-meter (291.50) and the 3-meter (333.95).
