Individual Notes

  • Junior RB Devon Achane reached the end zone for the sixth time this season, fourth time as a rusher, when he carried the ball 15 yards for a third quarter score. He finished the game with 99 yards on a career-high-tying 20 carries, while also adding seven catches for 57 yards.
  • Senior TE Max Wright caught the second touchdown pass of his career, reaching across the goal line after controlling a 9-yard pass from sophomore QB Haynes King.
  • Wright and King previously connected for Wright’s first career touchdown, a 42-yard scoring toss in A&M’s last trip to South Carolina in 2020.
  • Sophomore DL Fadil Diggs made it back-to-back games with a forced fumble and a sack, getting to the quarterback and swatting the ball loose late in the third quarter to set up an A&M touchdown. 
  • Freshman DB Bryce Anderson filled out the stat sheet, tallying three tackles, 2.0 for loss, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
  • Sophomore PK Randy Bond put A&M on the board in the first quarter, sailing a career-long 51-yard field goal through the uprights. Bond finished the game with three made field goals, adding 26- and 28-yarders.
