Texas A&M Sports Science welcomes Detroit, Michigan native Mike Brown. In his role, he will provide day-to-day services to various Olympic sports teams and Performance & Wellness units.

Mike comes to the Aggies from Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds, where he served as the organization's inaugural Applied Sports Science Intern during the 2022 season. With the Reds he used daily testing of the athletes through various technologies to provide actionable performance-based analytics and insights to athletes, coaches, and performance staff.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2019 and a Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from Wayne State University in 2022. During his undergraduate studies, he worked as a student manager on Michigan State's football team before being brought on as an intern with MSU's Strength & Conditioning staff. During his graduate studies, he was a Graduate Research & Teaching Assistant in the 'Warrior Human Performance Lab' where he executed testing, research, and data analysis with athletes from various Wayne State athletic teams as well as the NBA's Detroit Pistons.
