TEXAS A&M QUOTES
Head Coach Jim Schlossnagle
On Texas A&M's offensive performance…
"I thought that the double steal was a huge play in the game. It was something that we had talked about in the scouting report and planned on doing when that guy came into the game. Our guys executed it perfectly and then we were able to score those runs, so that was a huge part of the game. There are different ways to have a good team offense… We know we can score runs when we get hits and extra-base hits, but a good offense is able to score in a variety of ways."
Junior leftfield Austin Bost
On the team's performance at bat…
"Hitting is contagious, especially with this team. From top to bottom, everybody is a great hitter. If I get a hit, Brett Minnich is going to get a hit, Troy Claunch is going to get a hit… I mean, it is constantly over and over again with these good hitters, so I think that it is really going to help us later on."
Junior LHP Joseph Menefee
On what his mission was during the game…
"With a big lead, you are just trying to get the team back in the dugout and get the boys on offense. Tonight, was one of those nights where they were swinging it, so my objective was just to get back in the dugout and let them get back to work."
