It's time to get loud and proud at the Mitchell Tennis Center this Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Howdy, Aggies!

It's time to get loud and proud at the Mitchell Tennis Center this Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.

We are coming off an amazing season as we captured our first-ever SEC Tournament title and second SEC regular season championship. We had a 33-2 record and went undefeated in outdoor tennis matches.

Unfortunately, our dreams of bringing back a national title to Aggieland fell a bit short as we lost a very close 4-3 match to No. 2 Oklahoma in the quarterfinal match at the NCAA Championships.

This season we are currently ranked No. 4 and were picked to repeat as SEC Champions.

The core of our 2021-2022 team is back and we have an even more talented team than last year. Last fall, we added a top blue chip recruit in Daria Smetannikov. This January, we added All-American Salma Ewing (USC transfer) and Mia Kupres who is one of the top juniors in the world.

This year's team is a more talented team than last year's, and with any luck we will be in a great position to have a very special season.

Last season brought out record crowds for our women's tennis program. There isn't a better feeling in the world for me when I look up and see all the Maroon and White fans in the crowd and there is nothing like hearing you all roar after we win a big point.

Please come out and support our wonderful group of young ladies compete this Saturday and Sunday @ 2 p.m. in the ITA Kickoff Weekend as we begin our journey on to compete for the ITA National Indoor Championships in Seattle, Washington.

Hope to see you all at the courts!

Thanks and Gig 'em,

Mark
