BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M soccer standouts Quinn Cornog, Maile Hayes and Katie Smith earned team MVP recognition at the squad's award dinner Friday evening.

Cornog was tabbed Midfield MVP while Hayes and Smith were named Offensive MVP and Defensive MVP, respectively.

In her first season in Aggieland after transferring from Vanderbilt, Cornog appeared in 19 matches, all starts, for the Maroon & White. She logged five points on two goals and one assist.

Hayes enjoyed a productive sophomore season, earning United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Third Team and All-SEC First Team. She paced the Aggies' offense with 10 goals and 25 points. The product of Katy, Teas, also accounted for five assists and two game-winning goals. She earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week three times in October, becoming the first player in league history to earn the award three times in a month.

Smith started all 21 games on the backline. She ranked third on the squad with 1,801 minutes on the pitch. She helped the Maroon & White post a 1.13 goals-against average and six shutouts.

The Aggies' 2022 campaign ended with a 9-7-5 mark as head coach G Guerrieri became the fifth NCAA Division I coach to reach the 500-win plateau.
