BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Sophomore Maile Hayes garnered Texas A&M soccer's 'Farmers Fight' Perseverance Award celebrating her strength and tenacity fighting through injury to perform at the highest level.

Hayes also earned recognition as Texas A&M Offensive MVP and leading scorer at the Aggies' award dinner.

The product of Spring, Texas, enjoyed a productive sophomore season, earning United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Third Team and All-SEC First Team. She paced the Aggies' offense with 10 goals and 25 points. Hayes also accounted for five assists and two game-winning goals. She earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week three times in October, becoming the first player in league history to earn the award three times in a month.

In her two seasons in Aggieland, Hayes has played in 37 matches. She has 44 career points with 17 goals and 10 assists.

The Aggies' 2022 campaign ended with a 9-7-5 mark as head coach G Guerrieri became the fifth NCAA Division I coach to reach the 500-win plateau.
