Ivey Repeats as Gatorade Florida Player of the Year

For the second consecutive year, Texas A&M incoming freshman Grace Ivey earned Florida Girls Soccer Player of the Year from Gatorade which is in its 38th year of honoring the nation's best high school athletes.

CHICAGO – For the second consecutive year, Texas A&M incoming freshman Grace Ivey earned Florida Girls Soccer Player of the Year from Gatorade which is in its 38th year of honoring the nation's best high school athletes.
 
Ivey powered Bartram Trail High School to a 21-0-2 record and the Class 7A state championship this past season. She scored 19 goals and connected on a BTHS single season record 35 assists. She earned Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Soccer on the heels of her senior campaign and picked up All-Florida First Team distinction for the third time.
 
The product of St. Johns, Florida, racked up an eye-popping 59 goals and 59 assists during her career at Bartram Trails. The Bears were a combined 79-4-5 during her career.
 
As a junior, Ivey registered 13 goals and 11 assists, leading the Bears to an 18-1-0 record. She earned a US Soccer U17 Women's National Team training camp invite.
 
Ivey sparked BTHS to a 19-2-0 mark as a sophomore, capped off by notching a hat trick in the Florida Class 7A state title match to give the Bears the crown.
 
The award, which recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field. Ivey dominated in the classroom maintaining a weighted 4.63 GPA in the classroom. She was bestowed the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Academic All-State Award all four years.
