Aggies to Host Maroon & White Scrimmage on Sunday

The Texas A&M equestrian team hosts its annual Maroon & White Scrimmage on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M equestrian team hosts its annual Maroon & White Scrimmage on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.  

Fences and horsemanship is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., while reining and flat will is set for a 3 p.m. start. Admission is free. 

Texas A&M is coming off a 9-7 season that included an appearance in the quarterfinals of the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Championship Tournament.  

The Aggies return 15 riders from the 2022-23 squad who saw competition, including 13 of the 18 starters from the NCEA Tournament appearance. Notable returnees include All-Americans Cori Cansdale (Horsemanship), Keesa Luers (Reining) and Lauren Hanson (Reining). 
   
The Aggies open the regular season against Baylor (9/29) and Georgia (10/6) in Aggieland.  

That will be followed by three straight road trips which includes Oklahoma State (10/21), SMU (10/26) and South Carolina (11/3). A&M returns to the Brazos Valley to host Auburn (11/10) to round out the fall slate.
