No. 10 A&M Notches Road Victory Against SMU

DALLAS – The No. 10 Texas A&M men's swimming & diving team defeated the SMU Mustangs in its final regular-season meet, 172-108, Friday evening inside the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center.
To begin the meet, the 200 medley relay team of Ethan Gogulski, Andres Puente, Jace Brown and Connor Foote claimed second as they put up a time of 1:29.60.
Baylor Nelson added multiple wins, including the 200 free (1:38.28), 50 free (20.58) and 200 IM (1:47.86).
The Aggies took over in the backstroke events with Gogulski winning the 100 (49.27) and Foote touching the wall right after at 49.51.
Puente added points for the Aggies, earning a pair of second-place finishes in the 100 (55.46) and 200 breast (1:59.58).
The Aggies swam the four-fastest times in the 500 free as Batuhan Filiz clocked a time of 4:27.54 and was followed by Trey Dickey (4:32.02), Maximiliano Vega (4:36.99) and William Coakley (4:37.16).
Additional swimmers that led the way in their events included Anze Fers Erzen in the 200 fly (1:48.73), Kaloyan Bratanov clocking in at 45.26 in the 100 free, Thomas Shomper claiming the 200 back (1:48.32),
With their final dual meet coming to a close, the Maroon & White finished third in the 200 free relay with Bratanov, Foote, Kraig Bray and Nelson clocking in at 1:21.79.
Takuto Endo earned first on the 3-meter with a score of 360.45. On the 1-meter, the Aggies filled the top-three scores including Allen Bottego (335.63), Endo (3:15.53) and Rhett Hensley (312.90).
