ALPHARETTA, Ga. – The No. 15 Texas A&M men's golf team carded a 6-under 282 Friday to position the Aggies in fourth place at The Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational.

TEXAS A&M QUOTES
Head Coach Brian Kortan
On Friday's round...
"We had it going there through 11 holes. We turned to the front and made a few birdies up on No. 1 and a couple on No. 2 plus Dani (Rodrigues) made an eagle. So we kind of got things going there, but then we kind of stalled out playing some par-4s there the next three or four holes. We scored the ball pretty good, making 18 birdies. But we have to get the ball on the fairway. We didn't do that very well today, and that is typically a strength of ours. Tomorrow we'll focus on doing a better job of that."

On the rounds by Phichaksn Maichon, Jaime Montojo and Daniel Rodrigues near the top of the leaderboard...
"Those are guys that we're going to lean on to lead us through the season. So it was good to see them have nice rounds today. But all three will tell you that they left a ton out there. I guess there is some positives in that. They fought to the end. They made a few birdies in last hole to get us in position where we are today. There's a ton of golf to play and those are competitive dues that don't like to get beat. So hopefully that'll kick in a little bit tomorrow and we'll get after it."
