BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Texas A&M volleyball's Lauren Hogan was named to the SEC Community Service Team, the league announced Wednesday.

Hogan has emersed herself in the Bryan-College Station community since transferring to Texas A&M in the summer of 2022. Aggie volleyball's captain leads the program not only on the court, but off it as well making sure to give back to the Brazos Valley in a multitude of ways.

In the local community, Hogan plays a significant role in Aggies CAN, the largest student-athlete volunteer run canned food drive in the nation. She helps with collections and encourages her fellow student-athletes to donate to make a larger impact. The senior also contributes at Twin City Missions homeless shelter, where she helps those in need by collecting and organizing clothes to be distributed to the community.

Her service also spanned to the international stage, where she dedicated a great deal of service to the Texas A&M Athletics Mission of Hope trip, where she and fellow student-athletes travelled to the Dominican Republic followed by Haiti. The trip involved two core components, strategic ministry time and community advancement projects.
