When you decided to enter the transfer portal, when did you first know that you were coming to Texas A&M?

“Probably during my visit. After being around the girls at one of the dinners, it just all felt right. Koko [Wooley], Keely [Williams] and Trinity [Cannon] were there. I knew of a lot of the girls, and I knew some of them personally. It just felt right to come back to Texas and play with them.”

You and Kramer Eschete transferred from Louisiana. Was there a certain comfort level knowing that you were going through the transfer process with a teammate from one school to another?

“Yeah. We were kind of really close at Louisiana. Whenever I entered the portal, I texted all my close friends and her being one of them and she told me she was going to do the same thing. A week later we both found out that A&M had reached out and we knew we wanted to play together, so that was really exciting, and it just made it much easier knowing that I wasn’t alone.”

What are you looking forward to the most in the 2024 season and what are some goals the team have and your individual goals?

“I'm really looking forward to flying charter because we did not do that last year and just playing, I love being in tournaments and starting the season. It's so much fun. I love hot weather. I'm a sun baby, so I'm excited for all that. Some goals for the team are that we definitely want to make it to the super regional. Individual goals are being a great teammate and when my number is called that I answer.”

As a kid growing up were you always an Aggie and what are some of your favorite sports teams?

“No, I was not always an Aggie because I moved around a lot in my life, so I got to know a lot of different teams. My favorite professional sports team is the Cowboys. I’m a diehard Cowboys fan and whatever team LeBron James is on, so I like the Lakers right now.”

What are your favorite places to eat in Aggieland and outside of softball, what are some of your favorite hobbies?

“Definitely F & F Japanese Grill, I love hibachi. It’s like fast food hibachi, it’s great. It’s amazing! My hobbies are shopping, being with my family, laughing, talking and shopping some more.”

What is one secret or fact about you that most people do not know?

“I’m left handed. I write with my left hand. I do everything with my left hand, except play softball.”

Who is your favorite artist and what song stays stuck in your head?

“My favorite artist is NBA YoungBoy but Vulture Island by Rob49 stays stuck in my head. It’s a hype song. It’s just when it comes on, all my teammates look at me. Everybody knows that I love that song.”

Who is the goofiest and most fun person to be around on the team?

“Probably Koko. She’s always making everybody laugh and is always being crazy.”

Any pre-game rituals that you are superstitious about?

“I have my family reunion bracelet. It says, “We Are Griffin and Griffin Strong”. I put it in my back pocket.”
